Tiffin Top

The Jewel of Kumaon has various attractive things which attracts travelers from India as well as from the other parts of the world. Also Known as Dorothy’s Seat located on Aryapatta hills which give a 360 degree view of Nainital. Apart from picnic spots this place is best for making short videos or have numerous clicks as the location is best for photography.

Its name is because people used to have tiffin at the top. It gives the bird eye view of Nainital. It is a must visit place in Nainital. Located at a distance of 4 kms from Nainital. If you are adventurous you can hike to the top and if you wish to have a soft journey then ponies are also available from the mall road. Price is between Rs 500 to Rs 700 for a round trip. Opening Timings are 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Mall Road

Running on the side of naini lake lies the named Mall Road. Passing through the centre it connects two ends of Nainital which is Mallital and Tallital. Mall Road is officially named as Govind Ballabh Pant Marg but is least known by this name. Walking in the streets of mall road in the corners of lake gives a lining of jewels of a lady’s neck. Its timing is from 9:00 am till 10:00 pm

With this shoping point lies another shopping point which is known as bhotia market. It’s basically a Tibetain market. One of the recently developed tourist spots in Nainital. This cave garden is a combination of caves of different sizes with decreasing dimensions. One needs to crawl or climb to pass the caves. It is one of the exciting places to be visited in Nainital. Hanging garden makes this place more beautiful. It is situated in Sukhatal which is in Mallital area of Nainital City. 

Located at kaladungi road which is at a distance of 3.7 kms from city centre which would take about 15 minutes to reach there. Total time to explore is about 2 hrs with an entry fee of Rs 60 for adults and Rs 25 for kids with Rs 25 camera charges. Timings for the opening of Eco Cave Gardens is 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. It is one of the magnificent examples of man and nature’s combinational work.

Bhimtal Lake

With a small island in the centre lies the Bhimtal Lake which is a scenic spot in Nainital. It also has an ancient Bhimeshwara Mahadev Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva on the bank of Bhimtal built by Bhima during the Pandavas Exile period. Later this temple was reconstructed in the 17 th century by Baz Bahadur of the Chand Dynasty. Boating and bird watching is the main attraction of this place.

The emerald green water of Bhimtal lake mirrors the greenery for the surrounding nearby hills.Situated at a distance of 22 kms from Nainital with an altitude of 1370 meters above the sea level. Nainital Ropeway

There are two carriage for carrying travelers to and fro at a time with a capacity of carrying 825 kgs or 11 people.

With a combination of lakes and landscapes which Nainital offers its travellers also includes Sariyatal lake. This lake is famous for its magnificent sunrise which makes it a shining star as the sun rays hit the water surface. Such a beauty should be always viewed by naked eyes only.
